Bow Ties

For my wedding anniversary I found a bit of inspiration for a card ...here is the link to the post I did.  I made these cards in the same way, so no need to waffle, I just changed the ink I used, depending on the colours I used for the tie.  The happy birthday sentiment is from a set by Lili of the Valley.  I think all the papers I used are from Craftwork Cards, I know some of them are anyway.
Just showing the bows here no need to put full photos.  As you can see they are already in their wrappers.
No sooner had I finished these cards and they were off to my sisters and away with Hanni, better get some other stuff made.

Rainbow Cards - Hearts

OK this is it, the last of them, I promise lol.  I used the heart punch from Stampin Up!  The sentiment on the first card is from the Nina Crafts - Birthday Galore stamps set and the second sentiment is from the Carftwork Cards - Sunshine Sentiments set.  I used Memento - Tuxedo Black then re-stamping using the Memento - Cantaloupe ink.  Some of the strips in the first card and the first row of hearts on the second card were attached using foam pads.

Rainbow Cards - Hands

Not more rainbows I here you shouting, I really think I'm getting these out of my system.  For these cards I used hand dies from the Joanna Sheen Signature die set, attaching the circles again with foam pads.  The sentiments are from Nina Crafts, I stamped with Memento - Tuxedo Black then re-stamping using the Memento - New Sprout and Dandelion.

Rainbow Cards - Cogs

OK, for today's cards I used the Xcut - Cogs dies, I just used two of them as you can see, but there are ten in the set.  These were just the right size for the ¾" white circles that I punched out, some of them were attached using foam pads.  The sentiments are from Lili of the Valley and I used Memento - Tuxedo Black and Memento Summer Sky inks.

Rainbow Cards - Drop Hearts

For today's cards I used strips of coloured card and cut them randomly, then on the ends I trimmed the straight edge using some scissors that have a decorative edge.  The hearts were cut out using a small heart punch from Stampin Up! and attached with foam pads.  The sentiment is a Nina Crafts stamp, I used Memento - Tuxedo Black then Memento - Tangelo inks, I also used the Tangelo pen to add the stitched edge.

Rainbow Cards - Feet

I've posted two A6 cards today showing both the left and the right foot.  I really like this set of dies, they are Signature Dies from Joanna Sheen.  In the set you get both the left and right foot, hands, a paw and a ducks foot.  I stuck the feet on some white circles I punched out using a ¾" punch and attached them with some foam pads.  I used various stamps for the sentiments, firstly stamping using Memento - Tuxedo Black then re-stamping using the Memento - New Sprout and Dandelion.

Rainbow Cards - Balloons

I have been catching up on some quick cards, Hanni wants some for work, my sister has taken some as well, so thought I'd better get some more made, still quite a few to do.  I've had rainbow colours in my head for a little while so thought I'd stop thinking about them and just get it done lol.  I'll post over the next few days showing the different cards I made.
I made these, only need the one photo, I cut the balloons out of some texture card using the Xcut dies and the clouds are a Memory Box - Puffy Clouds die.  I used various stamps for the sentiments, firstly stamping using Memento - Tuxedo Black then re-stamping using the Memento - Summer Sky ink.  As you can see this one is bagged up ready to go.  Next.

Quilt

OK, I've started it, it's going to be full size.  I'm not going to tell you what size until it's nearly finished, as it may end up being a for a cot lol.  I'm making the blocks all at the same time, if I get fed up I will sew them together and see what size it is, if I get through to the end it will be rather large.

Converse Booties

I've started doing a bit of sewing, I'm making a quilt, it will be my first proper full sized quilt.  I've made smaller bits and pieces over the years but got talked into making this.  I'll post progress photos as I go along, I started it at the end of last month, so I'll post some earlier ones first.  I've got quite a few cards to post as well, I've been going through a rainbow faze lol.  You'll see what I mean when I post them, anyway, here's something I made.

I have never followed a crochet pattern before, so wanted to give it a go.  I made these, they are a practice pair, I actually used a smaller hook, but I'm not very happy with the finished boots I was going to throw them away.  I'd got half way through the second boot and went wrong, it wasn't anything drastic but I was about the throw them out when Hanni asked me to finish them off so she could have them in her car, this photo make them look different sizes as well, tut.  I used a pattern from Craftsy and will be having another go at some point using the proper sized hook, but I have too much on at the moment so they will have to take a back seat.  I should have used an English pattern, I think it would have been a little easier for my first one.  Hanni is happy with them, so not all bad really lol, I padded them out with some cotton wool balls so they keep their shape a little better while hanging in her car.

Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 17th wedding anniversary, I ask David every year 'how long have we been married', sometimes he gets it right hahaha.  Poor man he does have a lot to put up with lol.
I wanted a quick card, but needed a little inspiration, so I went and had a look on Pinterest.  After quite a while (I always get distracted) I found loads of really clever cards for men, I found a card like the one I've made, I'm really sorry but I'd seen that many I haven't got a name for the person who designed it, so it isn't my own design and I did make little changes, just to let you know.  I used some paper from the Craftwork Cards - Suits you Sir! 6x6 pad for the bow tie.  I used the Sue Wilson Classic Bow dies, I just shortened the back tail ends.  I stamped the Lili of the Valley circle sentiment in Memento - Rich Cocoa and cut it out using the Tonic - Circle Layering dies.  I added some score lines to the white card before attaching to the card front.  The bow tie was attached with PVA, the sentiment with foam pads and to finish I added the gems.
