This is the February card I made for the Nina Crafts class, I used the project club stamp set from January and the complimentary stamp, which this month is the engagement ring. We used paper scraps and heat embossed with silver embossing powder to make this card, adding some card candi and a pearl gem for the ring. I really do enjoy this class the ladies who attend are lovely and we have a right good natter about what's new, crafting on TV, what craft show is on, who's tried what new product, where to buy and we all share hints and tips. Thank you ladies J

For this card I used some stamps that came with the Creative Stamping magazine, they were the Fabulous 50's and my friend Suzan is a big 50's fan so this card is quite apt. I stamped using Memento - Rich Cocoa and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, if you work quick enough it is possible to use your Memento, just don't leave it too long as it dries quickly. As you can see I used some kraft and cream card, the kraft card I have is slightly lighter on one side, so turned it over then punched out the postage stamp edged squares for the letters. The letters are from the Kissing Alphabet upper and lowercase stamps from Nina Crafts and the shape on the front and the inside is the Spellbinders - Reverse Wonky Rectangles dies. I coloured the lady in with ProMarkers before attaching her to the card front with foam pads, the s, z and n are also attached with foam pads, everything else is double sided tape.

My daughter is recovering from surgery so couldn't go to the shops and buy a valentine card for her other half, so mum to the rescue lol. I did this card for her using the heart stencil from Imagination Crafts. I first used some Memento - Lady Bug ink but it wasn't quite what I wanted so I used a darker shade of Memento but in the pen, Rhubarb Stalk, to draw around and edging the shapes. This made them stand out a littler better but I wanted it shiny, so after I removed the stencil I used a grey ProMarker around the outside edge to make the shapes stand out a little more, then used a Sakura red pen and re-coloured the shapes. Still not quite what I wanted so used some Glossy Accents, I was happy with that. I used some red foil card for the matts and the sentiment both on the front and on the inside of the card were made on my computer and red foil was added using my Foil-It machine. The sentiment on the inside was just the right size for me to use my scalloped and classic heart dies from Spellbinders.

For this card used the Quilted Cushion embossing folder from Tattered Lace leaving a 3cm overhang so I could add the ribbon on the side of the card, the ribbon slider is from Meiflower. I used some silver foil card for the matts and the sentiment on the front and on the insert was printed on my computer then silver foil was added using my Foil-It machine. To finish I added some diamond gems to the embossed background on the front of the card.
