Happy Birthday

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

For this card I used the Spellbinders - Flower Pots die and has been embossed using an M-Bossabilities folder called 'Flora', the little leafy bits are made from the Memory Box die - Delicate Fern and the flowers are from Dimension Stamps and are called 'A Touch of ... Carnation (January) ref: 0701079a.  The punch used for the base card border is a Martha Stewart punch and the background paper is from the 'Pink Parfait' paper range from docrafts.  The sentiment is from the 'Grand Word Perfect' stamp set again from Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a.  The ribbon is from Meiflower and the sentiment tag is attached with some barkers twine.  To finish off I used some gems from my stash.

Quick card

This is a card I did using the 'Baby Steps' cartridge from Cricut, a really quick and easy card.  I can't believe the grandson is one already, far too scary lol.

Class Card - February 2013

Originally this post was from the Dimension Stamps Project Club.  Now the name has change to Nina Crafts, so I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

I have loads to post, I've got to catch up, so first here is the card we did in class this month.

This is February's class/workshop card, we used the January Project Club set of stamps, which are the gingerbread stamps.  We also used the 'July Project Club - Classy Cocktails' set from 2012 reference number 2300059a for the umbrellas and the cupcake is this month's class stamp which actually compliments the January project club set.  The sentiment was made using the 'Word Perfect' stamp set ref: 1803160a.  The website will be updated shortly with the reference numbers for the new cupcake stamp and the project club set.

Ballet Shoes

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

The ribbons on this card don't actually make a 90° angle but with them being so flexible I nudged it in to make it fit the corner better for what I needed.  So using the 'Ribbons and Twirls' stamp set ref: NC002 I first stamped the ballet shoes then the two corners with the ribbons using Memento - Tuxedo Black.  I started colouring in using my favourite markers (Pro/Flex lol) and was pleased with the ribbon corners then made a mess of the shoes L I didn't want to throw it away and start again so I stamped the shoes again onto some more white card and used the Spellbinder - Labels Seventeen dies to cut it out.  Once coloured and a pink texture card matt was added it covered the mess underneath (if I hadn't have told you, you would have never known haha).  I used the 'Grand Word Perfect 2' stamp set for the sentiment and rounded the corners before matting on to the pink card.  The sentiment and the shoes were attached to the card using foam pads and to finish I used some red gems in the corners.
All stamps used are from Dimension Stamps

January Project Club Video on YouTube

This video is for the January Project Club over at Dimension Stamps, if you would like to join the project club visit the website for more details.

It is a little late this month because David (hubby) has built me a new computer and the older version of my video software wouldn't work on Windows 8, so I've had to learn how to use the newer version tut.

Wedding Card

My husband and daughter are observers for the Institute of Advanced Motorists and the Chairman of the Wakefield Group asked if I would make a wedding card for the Treasurer of the group, who will be getting married on the 8th February.  I do find it quite hard sometimes making commissioned cards but for a wedding it is a little easier, and I've been wanting to make an all white card again, it's been a while, well apart from the text.  For the base card and the box I used some 300gsm white card and for everything else I used a 200gsm card, this I found out when I'd made the flowers had a slight pink tint to it, so I always make sure I've got plenty of the same card for one project, there are lots of different shades of both white and black and it shows up when doing this kind of project.  The background is a folder from my ebosser and is called 'Regency', I used the Spellbinders - Labels Ten and Ovals for the text, the text on the card front I found on the internet, I saw that many I really don't remember where it was.  The flowers and leaves I made from the Cheery Lynn Designs - Miniature Rose, the Medium Rose and the flourish Leaf Strip.  I used a Stampin Up template to make the pierced border.  On to the next job now, no rest for the wicked lol.
Thanks for looking J
