Project Club - November 2012 » Main Card «

Originally this post was from the Dimension Stamps Project Club.  Now the name has change to Nina Crafts, so I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

This month’s project club stamps have cosy front room at Christmas time theme. The set has some really useful pieces of text and a lovely large square window. Hope you enjoy your stamps.

This is the finished card.
Cut out all your pieces of card as per instruction sheet.  Using the 20cm x 10cm piece of brown card score a line at 5cm and another at 15cm.  Do not fold these lines.  Dust both end 5cm panels with your anti-static bag.  Using the window stamp and the black ink, stamp the half window on each panel.  Add detail clear embossing powder and heat emboss.  Use a craft knife to cut out the window sections.
Dust the 9.5cm x 9.5cm piece of white card with an anti-static bag, stamp the room view with the black ink and add the detail clear embossing powder before heat embossing.  Colour the room.  Attach the coloured room view to the middle of the brown window card (the stamped window should be face down). Fold in the window sections.
Use the 20cm x 13.8cm piece of white card and dust with the anti-Static bag.  Using VersaMark, stamp some text around the edge of the card, apply the detail white embossing powder as you go.  Heat emboss.  I started with the ‘a very merry Christmas’ stamp to the top, bottom and sides of the card, then added the embossing powder. Next I stamped the ‘warm wishes’ in each corner, then added the embossing powder before heat embossing the whole piece of card.  Using a blending tool and the light blue ink apply some ink all around the edges of the card, just enough to cover the embossed text.  Use a tissue to rub off any ink that may be still sitting on the text.
Using the 7.5cm x 2.5cm piece of white card, the black ink and the required text, stamp in the middle of the card, add detail clear embossing powder and heat emboss.  Add a little of the light blue ink to the edges of the sentiment before matting onto the brown card.  Matt and layer all the pieces of card and attach to the card front, the window using double side tape and the sentiment using foam pads or foam tape.
