U Rock

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

For this card I used the ‘Music sheet 2’ stamp from Dimension Stamps (ref: 0904007a) for the background, on the dark red card I stamped using VersaFine – Onyx Black and heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder, on the torn white/black card I used VersaMark and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder and inked all over using the Distress Ink – Black Soot before tearing the edges.  I randomly inked some white card with Distress Ink – Festive berries then lightly with the Black Soot before tearing the rectangle shape and punched a circle out for the bottle top.  I used the ‘Krystal Tips Alphabet’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 1900006a) this is the lowercase alphabet, to stamp the sentiment using VersaFine – Onyx Black ink, then glued it into the bottle top and used Glossy Accents to glaze.  The flourishes are from Joy Crafts, its one of the cutting stencil range, I cut out three using black card.  The ‘Electric Guitar’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 0903004a) was stamped using the VersaFine black and heat embossed using detail clear embossing powder, and coloured in with ProMarkers (Poppy, Warm Grey 3 & 5).  Once cut out I sprayed some spray and shine from Crafter’s Companion over the guitar and the flourishes.  To finish I added some black Papermania pearls.

Violin

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I started with a white piece of card and using Distress Inks – Scattered Straw and Antique Linen inked all over the card, then using the ‘Fantastic Flourish’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 0606019a) stamp and the Antique Linen ink I stamped all over the card.  I stamped the ‘Music Sheet 2’ stamp (Dimension Stamps ref: 0904007a).using Memento – Rich Cococa.  Onto another piece of white card I stamped the small flower head from the ‘Petal Passion’ stamp set Dimension Stamps ref: 2400065a again using the Memento ink, I made each of the flowers using only two of the small stamped flower heads.  I stamped the ‘Violin’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 0903018a) twice and cut out the chin rest/bridge and the fret board on one of them using Memento and coloured in with ProMarkers (Sandstone, Cocoa and Burnt Orange).  I stamped the sentiment onto another piece of white card and using a mask I inked the happy birthday curve with the Distress Inks, before cutting out half of the image and attaching it to the violin leaving a white border around both.  The sentiment is the ‘Circular Sentiment … Happy Birthday’ from Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a.  The charm is from Inkylicious, the ribbon is from Ribbonbox and the gems are from MeiFlower.  To finish I added some glossy Accents to the violin.

Class Card June 2012

Originally this post was from the Dimension Stamps Project Club.  Now the name has change to Nina Crafts, so I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

This is June’s class card, we used the June Project Club stamp set and the freebie class stamp this month is the ‘Champagne Flourish’ Dimension Stamps reference number 1403025a.  This card and tag have been coloured in with a purple Sakura pen and a Lilac ProMarker.
This card is for my sisters 50th and I used a pink Sakura pen and a Baby Pink ProMarker.  Because I natter that much in class I finish my cards off at home so I’ve added some little MeiFlower crystal gems to the ends of the flourish.

Baby Girl

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

For this baby girl card I used a scalloped edge card blank for my base card and some pink patterned card from my stash for the background.  It was made the same way as the baby boy card but the ProMarkers I used were Baby Pink and Pale Pink.  The sheep is a stamp from Dimension Stamps ref: 0801076a and is called ‘Funky sheep’, I stamped it using Memento – Tuxedo Black and because I’d stamped onto a textured card I used my black Memento Marker to fill in any missed stamped areas (just the eyes and nostrils needed a little touch of marker pen).  I used Spellbinders – Classic Scalloped Circles die and lightly inked with Distress Ink - Spun Sugar.  I used the ‘Birth Certificate’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 0205008a) and the ‘Grand Word Perfect’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a) stamps with the Tuxedo Black and to finish I used some ‘It’s a girl’ grosgrain ribbon and some pink pearls from MeiFlower.

Baby Boy

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

For this baby boy card I used a scalloped edge card blank for my base card and some Kanban Micro Gingham for the background.  I also used the gingham for the little horse, this is a stamp from Dimension Stamps called ‘Funky Horse’ ref: 0801075a, and I stamped it using Memento – Paris Dusk and coloured in with ProMarkers (Artic blue and Pastel blue).  After cutting the horse out I mounted it onto a Spellbinders - Classic Scalloped Oval that I’d dusted lightly with Distress ink – Tumbled Glass.  The ‘Birth Certificate’ is another stamp from Dimension Stamps ref: 0205008a, I stamped it with Paris Dusk ink and coloured in with ProMarkers before cutting it out and matting it to a Spellbinders – Office Supplies shape.  Just under the birth certificate I used the ‘Grand Word Perfect’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a) and the Paris Dusk ink to stamp the baby boy sentiment.  To finish I used some ‘It’s a boy’ grosgrain ribbon and some light blue pearls from MeiFlower.

Father's Day Wolf

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I used a grey card and a black mirri for the matt.  I stamped the tree background using the ‘Tree Forest 2’ from Dimension Stamps reference number 0702024a, the ‘Wolf Head’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 0801072a) and the sentiment (which is from the ‘Grand Word Perfect’ stamp set Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a) with VersaFine – Onyx Black and heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder.  I then used a 1cm hole punch and cut out the mask for the moon.  I used bleach to colour the moon and the wolf’s head, then scored a couple of cross over lines in opposite corners before matting onto the black.  This was a really quick card to do, just in time for father’s day, but it would work just as well for any other occasion.  J

Another Petal Passion

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I was looking at the last flat ‘Petal Passion’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 2400065a) card I did and it set my head off all over the place, so this is what I came up with, while Roy was doing the demo on Create and Craft.
I made masks for all three flower heads both on the sticky notes and on scrap paper, I used Memento – Tuxedo Black, Lulu Lavender and Angel Pink ink pads.  I also used the ‘Grand Word Perfect’ (Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a) and the butterfly is from the Memory Box range and is called Vivienne Butterfly.  So using black ink I stamped the first small flower the using a sticky note mask, covered it up before stamping the next flower, and on and on I went until I’d filled not quite all the white card, as you can see in the picture.  Then using the leaf stamp from the ‘Petal Passion’ set of stamps and using the black ink, I stamped all the outer flowers making them into the leaves.  I wanted to do a centre area on each flower and in the stamp set is a three petal stamp you can see it on the corners of the sentiment, so using this I stamped a daisy middle to each flower, masking the last petals to form the daisy, because I didn’t want overlapping petals.  Masking the daisy and the surrounding stamped images I used the Lulu Lavender and Angel Pink ink to add the other petal patterns.  Once all the flowers where stamps I used ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to colour in: Honeydew, Soft Green, Pink Lavender, Lavender, Pink Pearl, Pale Pink, Muted Pink, Pale Blossom and Blue Grey 1.  I matted onto some textured pink card.  Then I cut out a white butterfly and using some iridescent Violet/White glitter from Glitter Magic and a Quickie Glue pen added the glitter all over the butterfly, on every daisy on the flowers and a little on the white border.  To finish I used some crystal gems from MeiFlower.
David my hubby thought I might be a good idea to take this photo of the masks I used, I did have to move the green daisy mask around a bit, but I had enough cut out, not to have to cut any more.
Thanks for looking J

Petal Passion

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I wanted to do something a little different with this card, using the ‘Petal Passion’ stamp set from Dimension Stamps ref: 2400065a.  I first stamped the middle sized flower onto a piece of scrap paper and cut out the middle leaving me an inverted mask.  Onto a white piece of card I stamped the flower using Memento – Tuxedo Black and then used my mask to cover all the outside edge of the flower.  Next I used one of the petal stamps from the set and stamped all around the flower, then using Memento – Dandelion or Summer Sky I inked the flower, when you remove the mask the flower will have a nice white outer edge.  I did this all over the white card to finish off my background, using the leaf detail on the outer flowers and using the Memento – New Sprout ink to colour.  Once I’d done it, I keep thinking it needed something more, it looked a little too flat and matt colour, I had actually used some other Memento inks and it turned out too much like autumn so I redid it in the blue and yellow.  I was looking around my room trying to think of something to add when I noticed my Crafter’s Companion Spray & Sparkle so I masked the flowers up again and sprayed them with the iridescent spray.  I stamped the versa from the set onto a Spellbinders – Labels Two shape and cut off the embossed edge so I could matt it onto a blue piece of card.  The sentiment is from the ‘Grand Word Perfect’ stamp set again from Dimension Stamps ref: 1803161a.  I added some Papermania simmer dots to finish.  Lots of stamping in this card but I really enjoyed doing it. J

A Touch of …… Summer

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I used the poppy from the ‘A Touch of ….. Summer’ stamp set (Dimension Stamps ref: 0701087a) for this card.  My neighbour has some beautiful pink poppy whereas mine are bright red, so that’s where I got the inspiration from for this card.  I stamped the poppy onto a Spellbinders – Labels Seventeen piece of white card, using VersaFine – Onyx Black and heat embossing with detail clear embossing powder.  I then returned the shape back into the die and lightly inked around the edges using Distress Ink – Spun Sugar.  I then coloured the poppy in with ProMarkers (Tea Green, grass, Lush green, Baby Pink and Cool Grey 5).  For the pink card I stamped the poppy this time using VersaMark and heat embossing again with the detail clear embossing powder.  I used my Crop-A-Dile – Corner Chomper and rounded the corners before attaching it to the base card, I did the same for the 3cm wide panel.  This was quite a quick card to do really, and I love the pink.  J

The Occasional Orchid

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

For this card I used some light green card for my background and onto it I stamped the largest of the orchids from ‘The Occasional Orchid’ stamp set (Dimension Stamps ref: 2400066a) with VersaFine – Onyx Black and heat embossed with detail clear embossing powder.  I coloured the green stems, the little flowers and the inside edge of the orchid with ProMarkers/FlexMarkers ( Grass, Sunflower and Wild Orchid).  Onto some Stampin Up! paper and using the VersaFine and detail clear embossing powder I stamped the orchid three times and cut out different layers, adding a little of the ProMarkers/FlexMarker to the centres.  Once cut out I slightly shaped the petals and used some silicone glue to fix to the card front.  I used a Woodware corner punch and to finish I used some crystal gems from MeiFlower.

Shirley’s Birthday

I used a scalloped edge card blank for this card and lightly dusted the edges with the Distress Ink – Milled Lavender.  The background paper is from the Nigel May CD ROM – A-May-Zing.  The purple textured card is from Create and Craft and the image of the lady is from the My Craft Studio  - Fab Glam 50’s, once printed I cut it out using Spellbinders – Classic Ovals, and lightly inked the edge with the milled lavender.  I used the Spellbinders – Labels Ten in purple and centred the oval.  I used some pearls to finish.
