Hannelore

updated 17/03/2014:  Dimension Stamps have now changed their name to Nina Crafts.

I used the plain alphabet in both upper and lowercase from Dimension Stamps for this card refs 1801012a (uppercase) and 2400060a (lowercase).  Hannelore is the name of my daughter and she loves stars, so I thought why not make a card using her name, I’d just bought a new cartridge for my Cricut Expressions machine and found a star border on it that reminded me of her, the cartridge is called ‘Wall D√©cor and More’.  To start I stamped out a Lily background onto some white card using ‘the Luscious Lily’ stamp set and Color Box – Surf’s Up! pigment inks.  I then used an Anti-static bag to make sure all the ink was dry before using VersaFine – Onyx Black ink and detail clear embossing powder for all the letters.  I found an off cut piece of blue texture card in my stash, just the right size for her name and after cutting each of the letters out I overlapped them so it would fit on this DL card.  I used some silver foil card for the background and punched a border using a Martha Stewart punch, and an inverted corner rounder on the top two corners.  Once the blue name panel had been attached to the silver it didn’t look right so I used a white Gel Pen and did a faux stitch around the edge.  To finish I used some blue gems on and in the stars and added another two to the top corners.
This is a picture of my daughter Hannelore, she's beautiful isn't she but then I would say that wouldn't I.  She will not be amused about me putting this picture of her on my blog but hay ho.
At lot of people ask how to actually say her name, well here goes.  Han-nee-lor-re J
