Project Club – July 2011 » Strawberry Cupcake «

Originally this post was from the Dimension Fourth Project Club, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.  I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

For this centre step card I used a white base card and the backing papers are from and are part of the ‘So Berry Percious’ digital collection, as are the strawberries. I used the Heart to Heart Doily Dies from Cheery Lynn Designs and inked all around the edges of the heart and the backing papers with Distress Ink – Victorian Velvet. I stamped the cupcake and an extra swirl top using Adirondack – Cranberry and coloured in with ProMarkers, for the cupcake wrapper I used a Martha Stewart punch and cut out the shape using the cake base as a template. I used a glaze pen to give a bit a shine on the strawberries and to highlight the lightest shades on the strawberry topping. The cupcake border is stamped using the Cranberry ink and the stamp is available on the Dimension Fourth website ref: 1403023a and coloured in with ProMarkers. This stamp was also in one of the earlier project club kits so some project club members may already have it. The flowers were made using my Cricut Cartridge – Mother’s Day Bouquet (from and some odd bits and pieces of card from my scrap drawer, they are grouped together using some small pink brads. The leaves are made using a Joy Craft die and some left over pale green pearlescent card. The cupcake top, wrapper, flowers and strawberries are attached to the card using silicone glue, the rest of the papers etc are attached using double side tape.
