Project Club – July 2011 » Main Card «

Originally this post was from the Dimension Fourth Project Club, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.  I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

This month’s project club stamp set comprise of: one cupcake base, four cupcake tops, one candle, one hundreds and thousands (sprinkles) stamp and two pieces of text, ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Birthday’s are nature’s way of making us eat more Cake’.

This is the finished card, I think I must have had chocolate on my mind while making it J you can choose any colour you like (mmmm lemon) its up to you, hope you find this card useful.

Dust the brown/gold card with your anti-static bag, then stamp and emboss four cupcake bases using VersaMark and clear embossing powder. You may like to add some colour to the bases before cutting them out, (I used a ProMarker that was slightly darker in between the lines) I didn’t cut the zig zag detail at the top out, I just cut straight across from each open end, I thought the tops would sit better that way.

Dust the white A5 card with your anti-static bag, then stamp and emboss three of the flat cupcake flower tops, one swirl top and two full (base and top together) domed/dotty cupcake tops using the black ink and clear embossing powder. There is enough white card in your project club kit if you would like to stamp all six cupcakes instead of having the four chocolate bases. Colour your images before cutting them out, I used ProMarkers.  I did stamp the sentiment onto the white card but decided not to use it, instead I stamped it onto the cream card, it looked a lot better.

Once cut out stick the tops to the bases, and then glaze the brown dots on the middle cupcakes, along the lightest part of the shading on the top cupcake and around the petals on the bottom three cupcakes. You could use your glitters, gem stones, flower soft, ribbons and anything else you fancy using to decorate them. Set aside to dry.  Cut your Apricot, Gold mirri and the Cream card to the sizes given on your project club sheet.  Using the cream card, dust with your anti-static bag and using the hundreds and thousands (sprinkles) stamp and VersaMark ink, stamp randomly all over and emboss with the clear embossing powder. Use the left over bits of card to stamp and embossed the sentiment using the black ink and clear embossing powder. I stamped on the cream, matted onto the apricot and then onto the gold.

Using double sided tape matt and layer the cream and gold cards onto the base card. Using silicone glue attach the cupcakes to the card, I slightly curved them to give a bit of shape before gluing them in place. I like to place and plan everything before I glue and the silicone allows you to adjust your cupcakes as needed.  To finish using the silicone glue attach the sentiment.

If you are looking at this post and would like to join the project club then you can find the details on the Dimension Fourth web site. Thanks for looking and happy crafting J
