Birthday Card

Originally this post was under the Dimension Fourth heading, using their stamps, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.

I made this birthday card a couple of days ago and it has quite a few Dimension Fourth stamps on it, I’ll just give the reference number as I go along.  I used a dark brown base card and some antique gold fold card.  For the background I used some crackle effect cream paper and using the ‘Script’ (0604043a) stamp and Memento – Rich Cocoa ink stamped (second generation) randomly across the whole of the background.  Stamped the ‘Birthday Words’ - Happy Birthday (0502013a) in the Rich Cocoa.  Using Memento – Potter’s Clay and one of the swirls on the ‘Lavish Scroll’ set (0606018a) of stamps I stamped the edges part way round the paper,  again second generation ink on the stamp.  Used the ‘Plain Alphabet’ (1801012a) for the ‘A’ and the ‘Plain Lowercase Alphabet’ (1801014s) for the ‘ndy’, I then stamped using the Rich Coca ink and a ‘Background Text’ (0604040a) stamp to fill the alphabet.  Matted the letters onto some brown card to match the Potter’s Clay ink and stuck onto the card with foam pads.  It's his birthday tomorrow so he should have got the card by now so I can put this post together.  Happy birthday Andrew J

Shirt and top

For this card I used my cutting machine and the SVG files from svgcuts.com and it’s from the ‘All About Dad’ collection.  I used some of my left over bits of blue card and some white for the card base and the shirt,  I inked all around the edges of the white shirtusing a VersaColor – Cyan ink pad to make it stand out a bit more.  For the pattern on the jumper I used my Cuttlebug folder – Diamonds in the rough.  A very quick card, the gluing seemed to take the longest J

Putting his feet up

For this card I used my cutting machine to make the title, it’s from the ‘All About Dad’ collection from svgcuts.comIt’s a really good way of using up some of your bits and pieces of card J  The stamp is from Little Claire Designs and is from their ‘Oh Man!’ stamp set, I stamped it with Memento – Paris Dusk and coloured in with ProMarkers.  The corners where punched with my Inverted corner punch from Woodware and I inked all around the edges with a VersaColor – Cyan ink pad.  To finish I used some silver gems in each corner of the dark blue matt.

Sister's birthday

I used one of my shaped card blanks for this card.  I don’t often use them so thought it would make a nice change.  I used some rainbow mirri card for the matt, Marianne Design corners and the Nestabilities scalloped circle.  I used one of the LOTV sentiment circle stamps with VersaMark and embossed using Star Dust Transparent embossing powder.  I used some of my glitter peel offs onto acetate and cut them out.  For the background I used some white textured card and the Cuttlebug embossing folder – Kassie’s Brocade.  I attached everything with silicone glue and used some 8mm gems for each of the scallops.  A very quick and simple card J

June's Project Club stamp set

Originally this post was from the Dimension Fourth Project Club, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.  I thought putting all the posts together would be better and easier to find things.

I love these stamps they are the new Dimension Fourth Project Club stamp set for June, the set comprises of three pieces of text: ‘let’s meet for a drink’, ‘With Love…’ and ‘Chat Coffee’, also in the set is the double door and the lady sitting at the table.  Although it isn’t my month to do the project club I just had to use the stamps and as it was my mother-in-laws birthday recently I couldn’t resist making this card for her.

I wanted to keep the background as plain as possible, as I wanted the stamped images to be the main feature.  I would normally sort out the paper and card before I colour the images but this time I couldn’t wait lol, I was very fortunate to find in my stash some rose pink coloured pearlescent paper that works very well with the colour I used for her dress.  The background paper is from Pink Petticoat and is the ‘Blossom’ colour paper from the ‘Grannies Wallpaper’ set. The swirl paper is also from Pink Petticoat and again the ‘Blossom’ colour this time from the ‘Doodle Swirls’ set.  The happy birthday stamp is one I’ve had for a while and is from Dimension Fourth.  The lady – I stamped her first using Memento – Tuxedo Black onto white card, I then stamped her again onto a couple of Post-It notes to make a mask.  Covering her up using the mask I then stamped the doors, again using the Memento Black, I also used a Memento Marker Pen as I’d not cut out some bits of detail, but I didn’t want a perfect image so I left little bits, if you look around her legs and the chair. Leaving the mask of the lady in place, I then made a mask of the doors and covered them up before stamping the flowers, I used the little group of flowers and a single leaf from the ‘My Favourite Fountain’ stamp set (Dimension Fourth ref: 2400022a) these are very handy to have.  While everything was still masked I used the green ink from the Big and Juicy – Waterfall ink pad and a bit of Cut-N-Dry to colour the grass and used the blue from the same ink pad to colour the sky.  After removing both masks I coloured the lady and doors with ProMarkers, finally I added some gems from my stash to the corners.  At the time of writing this my mother-in-law hasn’t had her birthday so I hope she likes it J

Beauty Is a State Of Mind - Beautiful Lady

Originally this post was under the Dimension Fourth heading, using their stamps, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.

Aly is on create and Craft today with the Deco ladies so I used the deco lady from the Deco-Lectable stamp set (Dimension fourth ref: 2400019a) and wanted to keep it as simple as possible so I chose to colour her in greys, to look like a silver, I used all the cool grey set of colour Promarkers.  I just added some plain glitter, a fine one but nothing fancy and to finish off I used some of the rainbow mirri card for the matt.

Beauty Is a State Of Mind - Foil Mask

Originally this post was under the Dimension Fourth heading, using their stamps, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.

I stamped the face with Memento – Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with ProMarkers.  I’ve been thinking about using some foil for a while and thought this card would work quite well, I got my foil from eBay ages ago, it was a sample pack with lots of different colours in, it was very cheap but it means I haven’t got loads of it hanging around doing nothing J  I used a Quickie Glue pen and traced all around the edges of the stamped image, let it dry off and used the blue foil, there were a couple of places I’d missed but its very easy to see where and just glue again.  I used some blue mirri for the matt, just to match the foil and finished off with some blue adhesive stones from Papermania.

Beauty Is a State Of Mind - Party

Originally this post was under the Dimension Fourth heading, using their stamps, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.

I thought I’d use some of the papers I have in my bit drawer, you can use any left over pieces of card and paper for a card like this.  The stripe mask at the bottom is an off cut piece from the Stamp Class at Dimension Fourth a few weeks ago, I stamped the mask onto white card and onto the striped paper using VersaMark and Razzleberry Plum embossing powder, its one of the Moon Glow range from The Stamp Man and is one of my favourite Moon Glow powders.  I cut the inner part of the mask out of the stripe and glued it into the white mask.  I did the same for the pink and black mask but used VersaFine – Onyx Black and clear embossing powder.  I raided my bead boxes to make the dangly side bits and fixed them on with a gem brad, then added some feathers I’ve had in my stash for years.  For the background I used a plain white card and stamped the feathery stamps with VersaMark and added some pale pink mica powder and used a bright pink pearlescent card for the matt.  After stamping the letters out in VersaFine Black and embossing with clear embossing powder, I used the feather stamps with VersaMark and a darker pink mica powder to colour them in.  I attached everything to the card with silicone glue.

Beauty Is a State Of Mind - Harlequin

Originally this post was under the Dimension Fourth heading, using their stamps, then the name change to Dimensions Stamps.  Now the name is Nina Crafts and the old names have been dropped.

This is the new set of stamps from Dimension Fourth and Aly is on Create and Craft this morning at 9am and 2pm this afternoon.

I used a basic black card stock for the base card and some red mirri card.  For the top section, I used a piece of the black card and punched the border with an EK Success punch – Starry Night, then stamped one of the feathery stamps randomly with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  For the mask I stamped onto white card with Memento – Tuxedo Black, then with a ruler and Memento Marker Pen (again in the black) marked out some points above and below the mask at 1cm increments before drawing the grid to form the harlequin diamonds and I used ProMarkers to colour.  On the edge of the mask and above the eye’s I used a Quickie Glue pen and some very fine black glitter to add a little sparkle.  For the bottom section I again used the black card and the punch, but felt the card needed a bit of balance so onto white card, I drew and coloured a strip of the harlequin pattern, then cut to size.  I did make a happy birthday greeting it fit in the middle but it looked rubbish, so I stamped onto some acetate using Archival Ink – Jet Black and because I’ve used some foam pads to attach it, I’m getting a nice shadow effect off the red mirri card, I used some of the stars that were the off cuts from the border punch to cover the foam pads.  I didn’t have any black foam pads so I coloured the edges of some white ones with my black Promarker and allowed to dry before using them.  I attached the mask with some silicone glue.

One card one post

Just a little note, I've had an email from a friend asking if I could post one card at a time, I think this is a good idea, especially as she said she'd email me everyday if I don't lol.
So from now on I will be posting one card at a time.
Thank you Lynn for your kind (and daft) comments J
